ERIC KIMANI, MBS

Eric Kimani is a business leader, entrepreneur and philanthropist with extensive experience in the management of organizational change and emerging technology. He is a published author and a motivational speaker. He is the founder of of Palmhouse Dairies Limited, a real estate business property and Harvest Consulting Limited. He has served as a non-executive director for many companies among them: I & M Bank Ltd, (Also chaired the Risk, Credit, Remuneration and Nominations, Audit and Procurement committees) and Kibo Fund, Mauritius, (Also chaired the audit committee). Eric is a former CEO/MD at Sameer Africa Ltd and KTDA Ltd. He served as the Finance Director at Williamson Tea and Dormans Coffee. He has also served in other public and private companies among them Sasini Tea and Coffee and Kenya Association of Manufacturers. He has served as chairman and part of the disciplinary committee member in the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). As a philanthropist, Eric is the founder of Palmhouse Foundation, an education trust that finances secondary education for needy and deserving students. He is the Global Ambassador and former chairman of the Board of Trustees for HelpAge International. He is also a trustee chairman of Brooke East Africa. He is a past District Governor of Rotary District 9200 comprising Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Eritrea and South Sudan. Eric is a recipient of the 2008 Volunteer of the Year Award (VOYA) in Kenya and the 2011 Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (MBS) by His Excellency the President of Kenya for service to community. Eric holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of London and a diploma in law from the Kenya school of law. He is a Fellow of Certified Public Accountant (FCPAK), a Certified Public Secretary (CPSK) and an Advocate - the High Court of Kenya.
