As climate risks escalate across globe, the need for climate-resilient investment vehicles has never been more urgent. Kenya, at the intersection of climate vulnerability and green innovation offers a compelling frontier for climate finance. For investors seeking bankable opportunities aligned with global climate and sustainability goals, Kenya Climate Ventures (KCV) invests in and supports a growing portfolio of enterprises that are delivering measurable impact across climate adaptation, mitigation, and inclusive development.
KCV’s approach is guided by global frameworks such as the Paris Agreement, which drives investment toward low-carbon, climate-resilient development; the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which provide a shared blueprint for prosperity and environmental stewardship; and the Just Transition framework, which ensures that climate action uplifts women, youth, and vulnerable communities. Now is the time to deploy blended capital that not only builds resilience, but also unlocks long – term value in climate – smart, gender-inclusive, and underserved markets.

Our Investment Opportunities
Kenya Climate Ventures strategically invests in high-impact enterprises that sit at the intersection of climate resilience, inclusive growth, and commercial viability. Our capital flows into five priority sectors: waste and circular economy, water resource management, climate-smart agribusiness, commercial forestry, and renewable energy. In the waste sector, for example, we support companies like Kings Biofuels, which manufactures and sells energy efficient cooking briquettes from agricultural waste, and Exotic EPZ, a leading macadamia processor and exporter that has embedded circularity and renewable energy into its supply chain. In water management, we have invested in solutions like Nazava Water Filters, which provides cost friendly, quality and affordable water filters.

In the agribusiness space, we have invested in enterprises such as Taimba Limited who work with rural small holder farmers to ensure they access consistency in market, fair prices by shortening the agriculture supply chain. and Botanic Treasures, a nutrition-focused business working with smallholder farmers to cultivate and process moringa for fortified products. Our renewable energy portfolio includes innovators like OFGEN, who deliver captive solar energy systems to the commercial and industrial sectors, enabling emissions reduction and energy cost savings. These enterprises represent scalable, climate-aligned solutions that deliver measurable environmental and social returns while driving inclusive market transformation in Kenya’s most vulnerable regions.
