Kilifi County is amongst the 14 out of 47 counties that are marginalized coupled with the hot weather. In 2014, Papu Haroon ventured into Moringa farming to assist the community in Matsangoni to cope with the effects of climate change and address nutrition.
On the 6th of July 2017 Christian Aid and other like-minded partners including Kenya Climate Innovation Centre (KCIC) held a national renewable energy summit which was the climax of the Big Shift Campaign that ran from January 2017. The objective of the Big Shift Campaign was to advocate for the adoption of renewable energy through increase in investments in renewable energy and also the creation of an enabling policy and legislative framework.
Climate change continues to increase risks to businesses, infrastructure, assets and economies leading to slower than expected growth of Small and Micro Enterprises (SMEs) into corporates that are able to promote climate-smart solutions.
